WHAT TO EXPECT

Complimentary Aveda rituals designed to put you in the right frame of mind (think hand and scalp massages, makeup touch-ups, and steaming mugs of herbal tea).

Cancellations:

We understand that sometimes you need to change your schedule. We kindly ask that you give us a 24-hour notice if you must cancel an appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged $25-$50 for the time of services booked. Any “no-shows” will be charged 100% of the services booked.

We recommend that you schedule your next appointment prior to leaving the salon to ensure you have the appointment time that you most desire.

Kindly arrive on time for your appointment to ensure full service. If you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled time, we will do everything we can to accommodate, but please keep in mind you may have to wait and/or will be rescheduled with a different service provider.

Payments & Gratuities:

We accept cash as well as all major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Personal checks are not accepted and we do not give cash back on credit card charges.

Gratuity is not included in the service fees listed on our price list.

Our stylists work on a level system, which means our pricing for hair services is tiered to reflect their expertise. The prices quoted are the starting price for the service, and may be higher depending on the stylist.

No Pets:

Sorry, but by Florida state law, no pets are allowed in a salon.

Service Pricing:

Prices vary by level. We have 3 price variations among service providers based on education and experience. After professionals complete training sessions and educational workshops with industry leaders, their prices increase to reflect a new skill level. Variations in pricing can also depend on the length and thickness of hair.

Child Safety Policy:

Our concerns are for the safety of your children.

We understand how challenging it is finding time to spend for yourself. We also understand that your “me time” does not always align with your hair appointments. However, our policy strictly prohibits unsupervised children in the salon. In the event you must bring a young child into the salon, please provide proper supervision for them in the form of an additional caretaker. Unfortunately, the salon cannot provide childcare services. Also, young children in carriers/strollers may not be placed near the service areas or held in the lap.

We kindly request ONLY those receiving services be present in the service areas. Older children, (12+) capable of sitting quietly and unsupervised, may wait in the provided seating area. While this policy helps ensure that all guests enjoy a relaxing salon experience, it was created with your child’s safety in mind.

Our salon is not child-proof. Sharp instruments, hot styling tools, chemicals, and a busy, congested area make for a potentially dangerous environment for young children. Detlev Salon stylists and staff are dedicated to providing each of our guests with the highest level of services possible.

We greatly appreciate your compliance with our child safety policy.

WEDDINGS:

All bookings require a 50% deposit and are refundable up to 7 business days prior to the wedding date.

REDO POLICY:

If you are dissatisfied with a service you have received, we are happy to provide you with the opportunity to return to the salon for us to redo the service.

A redo is scheduled exactly like a regular appointment and is provided at no charge. The only qualification that we make in providing a redo is that you call to schedule the redo within 72 hours of the original service, it must be booked within 2 weeks of the original service, and the redo be scheduled with the same stylist who provided the service.

However, if you feel that the stylist is unable to provide the service, an exception may be made and the redo may be scheduled with another stylist. If in the rare occasion this does not resolve the issue, we can refund 100% of the original service in form of in-salon credit for any future services with any stylist of your choice.
